Kent Emergency Student Release Process

In the event of an emergency that calls for a full-school evacuation, our district has prepared a comprehensive student release system called Tag & Ticket. This streamlined, intuitive system allows students and authorized adults to reconnect through a quick, smooth, and safe process. Our highest priority is the care and well-being of our students.

If the administration has determined that a full evacuation is necessary, teachers will begin the Tag & Ticket process.

En caso de una emergencia que requiera una evacuación de toda la escuela, nuestro distrito ha preparado un sistema integral de liberación de estudiantes llamado Tag & Ticket. Este sistema simplificado e intuitivo permite a los estudiantes y adults autorizados volver a conectarse a través de un proceso rápido, fluido y seguro. Nuestra máxima prioridad es el cuidado y el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes.

Si la administración ha determinado que es necesaria una evacuación completa, los maestros comenzarán el proceso de Tag & Ticket.

Tags

Students wear tags that identify themselves with a photo and their name. Tags are worn during all emergencies and larger-scale drills. These tags allow students to be matched with an adult authorized to pick them up from school.

Los estudiantes usan etiquetas que los identifican con una foto y su nombre. Las etiquetas se usan durante todas las emergencias y simulacros a gran escala. Estas etiquetas permiten que los estudiantes coincidan con un adulto autorizado para recogerlos de la escuela

Parents Enter Campus

Upon entering campus, the adult will grab the ticket(s) for the student(s), they are picking up. The back of the ticket lists all the adults who are authorized to pick up the child.

Al ingresar al recinto escolar, el adulto tomará los boletos para los estudiantes que están recogiendo. En el reverso del billete se enumeran todos los adultos que están autorizados a recoger al niño.

The adult will need to present a photo I.D. and a staff member will then verify to make sure the adult is authorized to pick up the student(s). Once authorized, the adult and student will be connected.

El adulto deberá presentar una identificación con fotograría y un miembro del personal luego verificará para asegurarse de que esté autorizado para recoger a los estudiantes. Una vez autorizado, se conectará al adulto y al alumno.

You should follow signs to the designated exit gate to leave campus. Upon exiting the campus, a staff member will collect the student’s tag and the adult’s ticket as a final verification.
