Registration for New Students and for Students Transferring from Another District

To register a new or transferring student, please contact either the Bacich Elementary or Kent Middle Office. Kent Middle School Registration is by appointment only, and includes student placement testing for Math and Language Arts. The contact phone numbers are:

When you come to the office, you will need to bring copies (for the office to keep) of the documents below:

  1. Student's birth certificate.
  2. Student's current  immunization record, filled out and signed by the student's physician.  Please see our Immunization Requirements page for more information.  Please note that students entering 7th or 8th grade must have documentation of a Tdap (whooping cough) immunization.
  3. All documentation of your residency within the District boundaries.  Please see the Proof of Residency page in this section for detailed information on the documentation that the District requires.  Registration cannot begin until all required documentation is presented.

School Office staff will collect copies of the birth, immunization and residency documents for our files, and ask you for some basic information to open a registration file:

  1. Student's Full Legal Name (Last, First, Middle), Gender and Date of Birth
  2. Name(s) of any siblings (Last, First) who are either currently enrolled, were previously enrolled, or will be enrolling at the same time
  3. Mother's Full Name (Last, First)
  4. Father's Full Name (Last, First)
  5. Home Address (must be in District boundary)
  6. Home Phone, with area code
  7. Guardian's Email Address (where registration login information will be sent)
  8. Entering Grade Level

Office staff will enter the above data into our database system and create a registration record for your student(s). After the data has been entered, staff will email you the login information so that you can complete all registration pages (see navigation information below). All registration pages must be completed before your student can be enrolled and scheduled for classes, so please finish as soon as possible.

Access to Online Registration Forms

Log in with the user name and password given to you by the school office by going to the PowerSchool Parent Portal in a web browser. The Portal web address is

https://ksd.powerschool.com

After logging in, click the button with the name of a student, and then click the "Registration" icon to reach the main Registration page for this student (see picture):

From this main page, follow the links to all the registration forms. As you review and edit each page, it is important to remember to click the "Submit" button at the bottom of each page so that your information is properly recorded.

After submitting, you will be returned to the main Registration page. A check mark will be placed next to each page that has been submitted. You may log in later to complete pages that have not been submitted, or to make corrections to pages you previously submitted.

This process must be repeated for each student in your family.
