Bacich Bears News

Mary Ann Spitzer

Dear Bacich Community,

Students were so excited today, visiting the Book Fair and making their wish lists! Thank you to the KSPTA for putting on such a great event. The Community Center has been transformed! Besides buying books for your child, you can buy books for teachers and our library using their wish lists to support this fundraiser. The book fair is open all this week and parents are welcome before and after school and all day on Thursday. A reminder, please do not park in the staff parking lot if it is a school day.

KSPTA Book Fair
Bacich Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found is overflowing! Please come by and take a look to see if you recognize your child’s missing items. This is the time of the year that students wear a jacket to school, as it’s cool in the morning, and then it gets warmer at recess or lunch and the jacket comes off! If you put your child’s first and last name on their clothing, we will be sure to return their items to them.  Items not retrieved will be donated on Friday, November 19.

The next Principal Chat is this Wednesday from 8 to 9 a.m. in the school library. We will also be providing a live zoom option if you cannot be here in person. The topic is Literacy Instruction. We will review our Reading and Writing Workshop curriculum, the integration of Social Justice themes in mentor texts, and discuss what you can do at home to support your child with reading and writing.

Finally, Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week! Please be sure to connect with your child’s teacher to set up a conference time. This is a great opportunity to talk to the teacher about your child’s progress during the first trimester of school. If you need some support using the Parent Square sign up please contact our community liaison, Ivette Villarreal, for assistance by calling 415-458-5130, ext 160 or via email at ivillarreal@kentfieldschools.org.

Take care,
