Barbara has completed the Chief Business Official Education Partnership Training Program in all aspects of school business management. The program was developed and presented in partnership with the following school organizations:
- ACSA – Association of California School Administrators
- CASBO – California Association of School Business Officials
- CASH – Coalition for Adequate School Housing
- CSBA – California School Boards Association
- FCMAT – Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team
- SSC – School Services of California
She represents the district as a board member for the Marin Schools Insurance Authority and the Marin Pupil Transportation Authority. She also works closely with Mercer & Co. on HealthCare provider negotiations issues.Barbara joined the Kentfield School District in 1998 as an instructional aide working in 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and Kindergarten, before joining the district’s administration team. During this time she managed personnel, payroll, and health and welfare benefits for the Kentfield School District staff.
Prior to joining the district Barbara worked for thirteen years with Xerox Corporation in San Francisco as a Systems Analyst in business services, software training, and support for Chevron/Standard Oil and Bank of America. She also worked in Los Angeles for Delta Airlines.
Community volunteer work involved an active PTA executive position for the computer/technology program "Bytes for Bears," PTA membership Chair, and the Bacich sweatshirt/t-shirt sales.
Barbara's two children graduated from the Kentfield School District.
