Corte Madera Creek Restoration at College of Marin

Friends of Corte Madera Creek Watershed and the Marin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, in partnership with College of Marin, are proposing to restore part of Corte Madera Creek by removing over half of the concrete channel walls downstream of the Stadium Way Bridge. This grant-funded project would increase creek capacity for flood waters and create 1.5 acres of new habitat resilient to sea level rise and climate change.

College of Marin and Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Construction Project Updates

A portion of Parking Lot 12 remains closed as a result of damage to one of our PV canopies. Repairs are in progress and construction is scheduled to be done by the end of August.

There will be increased traffic stoppage on College Avenue until we have completed demolition. There will be a flagman onsite at all time. There will be large trucks coming in and out of the site via the driveway close to the crosswalk on College Avenue. We have noticed pedestrians not activating the flashing signals when using the crosswalk. Please remember to use this important safety feature as it is the only way vehicles exiting the driveway know that there are pedestrians in the crosswalk.
