August 30, 2019

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. The year starts with the excitement of a ribbon cutting at Bacich to open the new administrative offices, classrooms, and courtyard. Our students and staff will enjoy beautiful spaces designed to optimize teaching and learning. This would not be possible without the fortitude of the Kentfield community during a construction process of the past two years at Kent and Bacich. Thank you to all who gave up their work spaces, doubled up in the classrooms, parked off site, and endured the noise and dust. Thank you to KSPTA extra support and TLC for our staff and students. Everyone involved deserves a huge pat on the back.

This newsletter is lengthy, so I’ll be brief. This weekly newsletter, delivered on Thursday evenings, is your one-stop-shop for information about the district, your school(s), parent partners such as kik and the PTA, community organizations, and events. We commit to sending just one email per week - excluding emergency communications - and ask that you read it or flag it for references purposes. This start-of-school email, for instance, has all the dates and tips you need for a smooth start to the year.

I wish you a happy Labor Day weekend, and look forward to seeing you and your children Tuesday.
