September 5, 2019

During moments of construction chaos during the last year at Bacich and the year prior at Kent, it was sometimes hard to imagine a smooth and successful first week of school post-construction. Thanks to all the support of our community and to the dedication of our construction partners, we had a terrific start to the 2019-2020 school year!

Next month, we will take on the reconstruction of the strategic plan that has served the district well for the past six years. Over the course of two days, the school board, parents, teachers, staff, and community members will review past strategic goals, school and student data, community priorities, financial realities, and the educational outlook to draft a new set of strategic initiatives that will guide the district  for the next several years.

This process works best when we have robust participation from all stakeholder groups. There will be many opportunities to contribute feedback, thoughts, and ideas to the draft plan, but the first step is the creation of that draft at our Strategic Planning Session on October 17-18, 2019 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

If you are interested in participating in this session, please email me by Tuesday, September 10th (lschott@kentfieldschools.org).
