Bacich Bears News
Dear Bacich Community,
As I sit down to write my first newsletter column representing the Bacich administration, I am filled with a strong sense of gratitude. Thank you to all the Bacich students, staff, and families for such a kind welcome to the Kentfield community. It has been a pleasure getting to know the many members of our community over the past few weeks. I have had the opportunity to be out on the yard for almost every recess and lunch and the energy of students has been absolutely invigorating. From watching them navigate the new play structure (the swing is a hit with many of the students) to talking to them about “Fun Lunch,” I am learning student names and their preferences, and can’t wait to begin working with them all more closely. Last Friday, I was lucky enough to get to announce our first round of Bacich Bear Card winners, and seeing the excitement of students coming into the office to get their magnets was fantastic.
Thank you also for everyone's patience as we navigated dismissal. Through insightful community feedback, we created a car line system that works for all our students as well as allowing more car line parents into the parking lot at one time. Most importantly, car line works successfully with the support of our amazing families, so a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered so far.
Last but not least, a quick reminder that intake conferences are this week. We will have early dismissal Sept. 8-10 to allow for teachers and parents to meet. As Mary Ann said last week, this is a great chance for you to tell your child’s teacher all of the amazing things about them!
Thank you all again for the warm welcome and I am looking forward to meeting even more of you as the year goes on.
Enjoy your week!
