KSD News
Dear KSD Community,
Today’s spring showers were a welcome surprise for our community, as I hope this drizzle of rain will offer plenty of blooming flowers this spring.
Special thanks to the KSPTA for a highly successful Readathon – what a great way to raise money while promoting literacy with our children. The KIK Auction is around the corner and will be a great time for our community to come together to support our children’s education. As the final weeks of the 2021-2022 school year are upon us – I look forward to honoring our students' culmination of the school year with celebratory traditions that bring us together as a community.
Wishing the KSD a joyous Spring Recess and positive weeks ahead.
Take good Care,
Raquel Rose

UPDATE: March 23 Public Health COVID-19 Testing Success
The COVID-19 Testing clinic at Bacich School on March 23 was a success. Special thanks to Laurel Yrun, Becky Gayman, and our Public Health partners for supporting this endeavor. The clinic tested 125 Bacich students/staff and we had zero COVID-positive results. As we continue to address COVID-19 in our community, I appreciate our collective vigilance and care to minimize transmission across our schools and the Kentfield/Greenbrae community.
New Public Health COVID-19 Guidance for Schools
Today, March 28, the Marin County Public Health and the Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) released our new SMARTER Schools Plan. This plan offers updated guidance to all our TK-12 schools related to COVID-19 mitigation strategies.
Marin County SMARTER Schools Plan, which is now in effect and replaces the 32-Point Plan as our Public Health guidance document, and is now posted on the Rethinking Schools Website. Existing School Site Specific Protection Plans (based on the 32-point plan) can continue to be utilized.
