We are fortunate at KSD to have KIK-donor support to ensure a solid music enrichment for our kids.

• Research shows that music education enhances self-esteem, better study habits, critical thinking, and provides social-emotional benefits among others.
• Kids also learn how to work and grow musically together as a group. At Bacich, they learn how to sing as an entire grade level chorus (a truly heartwarming experience to hear).
• While at Kent, there are many, varied ensemble opportunities like band, strings, and chorus that are available from grades 5-8 (incredible to hear how much they develop through the years).

Thanks to Ms. Poon at Bacich and Mr. Martinez at Kent, our kids experience encouragement and expert instruction available at every grade level. And thanks to generous 2021-2022 KIK donations, KIK is providing additional musical instruments:

• Recorders, xylophones, metallophones, and glockenspiels at Bacich
• Higher-quality stringed instruments and trombones at Kent
